The newly built anti-collision guardrail for the road surface renovation project of National Highway 209 (Hejin section) in Shanxi Province is designed with a net height of 120 centimeters, a base width of 60 centimeters, and a top surface width of 20 centimeters. The anti-collision wall cement concrete is lined with a solid reinforcement structure. During construction, the reinforcement cage is pre tied and fixed on the ground. During the entire paving process, the mold installed on the left side of the slip form paver spans the reinforcement cage. The concrete is compacted by high-frequency vibrator in the mold, extruded, and then slid out of the mold, which can be shaped once.
In this kind of anti-collision wall project, the average paving speed of the NC1300 sliding form paver reaches 1 linear meter per minute, and the workload of about 300 linear meters can be completed every day, which is 3-4 times more efficient than the traditional manual method.
Compared with traditional methods, its labor cost has also been reduced. When slip form paving process is adopted, only one paver operator, one supervisor and several staff are required to carry out auxiliary cement finishing, maintenance and miscellaneous work. Due to the decrease in the number of on-site construction personnel, construction site management has become easier, and the corresponding safety has greatly improved. During the construction process, there is no need to interrupt traffic, and the impact on road traffic is minimized.
